done!

It’s been about a century since I posted, but I’ve not been idle: its done! I finished writing my dissertation and here it is:

Brand Driven Innovation: fullfilling brand promise through new product development, by Erik Roscam Abbing MSc.

I must say I’m a proud man. Proud of the accomplishment itself, but also proud of the contents: I think I have discovered things about how branding and product innovation can work in synergy, that are very worthwile. There is much work still to do, but that’s great: I have found my calling as they say, and I will focus my professional and academic efforts on this area in the future.

I just handed the thing in the week before last, and I immediately found my self at the bottom of a very large pile of work that refused to be postponed any longer. Next week counts three more project deadlines, so rest is still a week away. But boy, will I enjoy the chrismas vacation this year!

Please read through the work and comment on it. I would very much appreciate the feedback. And don’t hesitate to use it and build upon it. I would like my work to be part of a larger effort connecting branding and innovation. Keep me posted on your efforts, as I will try to stay in touch with you through this blog.
